Crochet Beret & Scarf Reviewed by kmakhl on 2015-11-20 *****
THIS is one of the best patterns to use with HOMESPUN yarns. If you want a simple, quick, One-Skein project just make the beret! Great for quick or last minute gifts. I used a discontinued (but lovely!) color that I lost the wrapper to, but is an oxblood/ruby color. Note: Some Homespun yarns seem to have more of a halo than others- my ruby-red Homespun was very easy to work with and had less of the looser strands.
The scarf is AWESOME and very roomy and cozy, almost an afghan feel to it, so cozy. Don't knock the Homespun Yarns! I used to hold it in disdain before I used it on this project, now I appreciate the warmth and coziness only this kind can give. Don't pass on this easy pattern, the people I've made it for just rave over it. See, sometimes simple IS best!
