With Glitterspun and smaller hook, chain 29. Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 28 stitches. Chain 1, turn. Work even in single crochet until there are a total of 28 rows. Fasten off.Back (and Flap)
Work same as Front, but working until there are a total of 30 rows. Flap Shaping Decrease Row Insert hook into first stitch, pull up a loop, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook – single crochet 2 together made; single crochet in each stitch to last 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together. Repeat Decrease Row until 2 stitches remain. Single crochet 2 together. Fasten off.FINISHING Trim With Fancy Fur and larger hook, chain 4. Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 3 stitches. Chain 1, turn.Increase Row 2 single crochet in first single crochet, single crochet to last stitch, 2 single crochet in last stitch. Repeat Increase Row until there are a total of 23 stitches. Work 1 single crochet row even. Fasten off. Place Front and Back with right sides together. Slip stitch sides and bottom of Front and Back together, matching rows. Fasten off. Turn right side out. Fold Flap over Bag. With sewing needle and thread, sew Trim to triangle Flap section. Sew snap closure on underside of Flap and to corresponding spot on Front.Strap With Glitterspun and smaller hook, chain 4. Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 3 stitches. Chain 1, turn. Work even in single crochet over these 3 stitches until Strap measures 31 inches [79 cm] or desired length. Fold in half lengthwise and slip stitch long edges together, matching rows along length of Strap. Sew ends of Strap to each side of Bag at inside seams.
