Lion Brand® Fancy Fur

GAUGE:

8 stitches = 3 inches (7.5 cm) in single crochet. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

SCARF
With A, chain 9.

Row 1 Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and each chain across – 8 stitches.

Rows 2, 3, and 4 Chain 1, single crochet in each single crochet across row – 8 stitches. In last stitch of Row 4, work until you have 2 loops on hook, drop A but do not cut yarn, join B, and finish stitch with B, chain 1.

Work 4 rows B.

Continue working in pattern, 4 rows A, 4 rows B, until all yarn is used. Weave in ends.
