Fancy Scarf

Lion Brand® Fancy Fur - Fun Fur®

7 dc + 4 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] with 1 strand each of A and B held tog. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

With 1 strand each of A and B held tog, ch 9.

Row 1 Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 7 sts.

Row 2 Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in each st across; turn.

Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 62 inches [157.5 cm] from beg, or until almost at the end of A. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

ch(s) = chain(s) dc = double crochet
st(s) = stitch(es) tog = together

Fancy Scarf Reviewed by Claudia Woodard on 2009-10-30 *****
Completed this scarf/boa in no time at all. First time I had worked with fun fur it got easier as I went along. Crocheted with school colors and will wear to basketball games. Looks great and very very easy. Rock Chalk JayHawk.
