With MC, chain 29. Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 28 stitches. Chain 1, turn. Work even in single crochet over these stitches until 14 inches [35.5 cm] from beginning.Flap Shaping Decrease Row (Insert hook into next stitch and pull up a loop) twice, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook – single crochet 2 together made, sc to last 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together. Repeat Decrease Row until 2 stitches remain. Single crochet 2 together. Do not fasten off.FINISHING Edging Make 3 single crochet in last single crochet, single crochet evenly along side of Flap, work 2 single crochet in first Decrease Row, single crochet evenly along side of Body, 3 single crochet in corner, single crochet across beginning chain edge, 3 single crochet in corner, single crochet along other side, work 2 single crochet in first Decrease Row, single crochet across edge of Flap, ending join with slip stitch in top of first single crochet. Fasten off. Fold bottom of Bag up to base of flap. With sewing needle and thread, sew sides of Bag together. Fold flap over; sew snap on underside of flap and corresponding spot on front of Bag.Fringe Wrap CC around a 2 inches [5 cm] piece of cardboard; cut ends on one side to create fringe. Fold each in half and use crochet hook to draw fold through first single crochet at bottom edge of Bag, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. With CC, chain 4. Row 1 Single crochet into 2nd chain from hook and each chain across; chain 1, turn. Repeat Row 1 until Strap is 22 inches [56 cm] long or desired length. Sew 1 inches [2.5 cm] of Strap securely to back of Bag on either side, horizontally along fold.
