BASIC SQUARE Chain 16.Row 1 Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 15 single crochet. Row 2 Chain 1, turn; single crochet in each stitch across – 15 single crochet. Repeat Row 2 until there are a total of 24 rows. Fasten off. Hat and Scarf Make 2 squares each in A, B, D and E; make 1 block in C.Hat Sew B and D and A and E together across long ends. Place pieces with squares side by side and sew together 2 sides and top seam.Scarf Sew blocks along short ends in the following sequence: A, B, C, D, E.Tassel (Make 2) With C, wrap yarn around a piece of cardboard the length you want the tassel (the more wraps, the fuller the tassel will be). Slide a double strand of yarn under the top of the tassel and tie tightly. Cut other end open to remove cardboard.
