GAUGE:

10 sts + 10 rows = 4" (10 cm) in single crochet.

With C, ch 2.

Rnd 1 Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Mark beg of rnd.

Rnds 2-13 Working in sc, inc 6 sts evenly spaced each rnd – 78 sts .

Rnd 14 Slip st around.

Rnd 15 Working in back loop only, sc around.

Rnd 16 Sc around.

Rnds 17-20 Working in sc, dec 6 sts evenly spaced around – 54 sts.

Rnd 21 Slip st around.

Rnds 22-24 Sc around.

Rnd 25 Change to A, and slip st around. Fasten off.

Finishing

Embroider stars around band as pictured. Weave in ends.

Scarf

With A, ch 181.

Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 180 sts.

Row 2 Ch 1, turn; sc across.

Drop A, do not cut.

Begin at other end of row, change to B and work 2 rows sc.

Drop B, do not cut.

Pick up A, ch 2, work 2 rows sc.

Drop A, do not cut.

Pick up B, ch 2, work 2 rows sc.

Repeat last 4 rows twice. Fasten off A and B.

With C, work 1 rnd sc around all 4 sides of scarf. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
