GAUGE: 3 dc-groups + 5 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I HAVEN'T TRIED A GRANNY SQUARE FOR A LONG TIME.IT TOOK ME TWO TIMES TO GET IT RIGHT BUT THE FIRST WAS THE RIGHT ONE.
I STARTED CROCHETING THIS AS AN AFGHAN BUT RAN OUT OF YARN SO I MADE IT A SMALL THROW. I THEN STARTED A PILLOW COVER AND LOVED IT. YOU HAVE SO MANY WAYS TO MAKE IT AND IT WAS SO EASY. I USED MY SCRAP YARN AND MAKE PILLOW COVERS FOR THE ONES IN THE LIVING ROOM AND IF YOU ARE CURIOUS THE STANDARD PILLOWS (NOT BED) ARE 15 BLOCKS AND YOU SEW 3 SIDES TOGTHER, PUT THE PILLOW IN THE SEW..........THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
