THROW
PANELS 1- 5 : With MC, ch 71 very loosely. Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 70 sc. Row 2 Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc - 70 sc. Repeat Row 2 until 8 rows have been completed. Complete last sc with CC. Work 1 row in sc with CC, fasten off.
PANEL 6 : Repeat as above, but fasten off after 8 rows MC have been completed.
PANEL EDGING: Set Panel 1 aside and work on rem 5 panels. With RS facing, join CC with ch 1 at right corner of foundation ch. Work 1 sc in each ch across - 70 sc. Fasten off. With wrong sides facing each other and MC, join panels through last and first row in CC with a row of sc as per diagram (below). 
BORDER Join CC at 1 corner of throw.
Rnd 1 Ch 1, sc all around, working 9 sc at short ends of each panel and 3 sc in each corner; join with slip st to beg ch. Ch 1, do not turn.
Rnd 2 Sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner se. Fasten off.
Rnd 3 Join MC, work 1 row reverse sc, from left to right, all around. Join with slip st and fasten off.
