Heart Bag

Lion Brand® Chenille Thick & Quick® - Homespun®

8 sc + 10 rows = 4" [10 cm] with MC. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Heart Bag Reviewed by Kerry on 2011-02-04 ***
This was very difficult for me to finish, and the finished bag falls open in an odd way and doesn't look like a heart shape. I am an experienced crocheter and still had problems with this pattern. I will have to reinforce it with some sort of stabilizer to make it shape correctly and change the bag opening at the top. My daughter loves the picture, and really wants it finished!
