GAUGE: Each square measures 7½ inches x 7½ inches (19 mm).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Rainbow Stripe Blanket Reviewed by Rachel on 2010-01-07 |

I loved making this for my daughter four years ago. It was a very well written pattern, but I did have a LOT of yarn left over, so I made her a matching sweater that she wore for the next 1 1/2 years. She loved the blanket. I wish they didn't discontinue this yarn-- it was the BEST. I think Vanna's Choice feels similar, but Vanna's Choice is 100% acrylic and the yarn used for this project is 50/50 cotton/acrylic. That means it washes differently-- my daughter's blanket has that broken-in feeling, soft and comfy, after being washed a million times. Vanna's Choice would take longer to break down for that.
Sorry to digress. This is an awesome pattern.
