GAUGE:

Gauge is not significant to this project.

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FLOWER

Leaving 6 inch /15.5 cm tail, ch 4. Join with slip st to first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1 Work 10 sc in ring.
Rnd 2 *Sc in next sc, ch 8, sc in next sc; rep from * around -- 5 ch-8 loops.
Rnd 3 Working in front of ch-8 loops and into sc from Rnd 1, *sc in next sc, ch 6, sc in next sc; repeat from * around—5 ch-6 loops. Fasten off, leaving 8 inch /20.5cm tail. Bring yarn to back. Using large-eyed, blunt needle, thread yarn through back of ring and bring out on opposite side from first tail. Pull tight. Knot tails together at base and trim.
