Bauhaus Washcloth
Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
GAUGE: 14 hdc + 12 rows = 4 in. [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Lovely washcloth and I love the geometric design, but the directions are awful. The corners do not work, and I had to correct. The directions for for the last color are confusing. Be forewarned, too, that this makes a very large washcloth. I even went down a size on the crochet hook and crocheted tightly. If I make this again, I'm switching to single crochet and perhaps a smaller hook yet.
Pity such a great design is made frustrating by poorly written instructions.
