Lion Brand« Vanna's Choice® - Vanna's Palettes

GAUGE:

9 1/2 sts + 8 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

3. Other details, Basket Handle, Basket edging, Flower stems, etc are worked onto completed Afghan.
4. Color is changed to create basket in center of Afghan. Use separate balls of yarn to work each section of color, do not carry color not in use across WS of piece.
5. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Proceed with new. Fasten off old color.
6. Our pattern outlines the colors that were used for the Flowers and Leaves on our sample. Vanna's Palettes are specially designed to mix and match the colors, so feel free to use colors as desired.
