The Hippie Dog Sweater

Lion Brand® Unique - Heartland

GAUGE:

12 sc + 12 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) with B.
One Granny Square = about 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm).

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

1. Sweater is worked in 2 pieces: Back and Underpiece. Each piece is made from Granny Squares that are crocheted together following diagrams. Rows of sc and hdc are worked across one edge of each piece to form a shaped top section.
2. Back and Underpiece are sewn tog to make Sweater, leaving openings for legs.

The Hippie Dog Sweater Reviewed by TERESE RAMIN on 2014-11-19 *
Easy enough to make up, but the sizes are... interesting to say the least. Also, there's no photo showing exactly how this was put together so it can be put on the dog. I made a size 1x/2x for my boxer and... well, let's just say I've had to scrap the project and look for another sweater for her.
