GAUGE:

10 sts + 16 rnds = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Rev St st worked in rnds (p every rnd).
18 sts + 20 rnds = about 5 in. (12.5 cm) in Cable Pattern worked in rnds.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

STITCH EXPLANATION:

3/3 RC (3 over 3 right cross) Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
3/3 LC (3 over 3 left cross) Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
M1P (make 1 st as if to purl) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal strand lying between the needles and placing it onto left needle. Purl this new stitch through the back loop - 1 st increased.

CAPELET
With shorter circular needle, cast on 80 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle and being careful not to twist sts.
Note: On Rnd 1, you will place markers for the Cable patts. Use different color markers than the beg of rnd marker.

Notes:
1. Change to longer circular needle when sts have been sufficiently increased.
2. Continue to sl markers as you come to them.

Next 2 Rnds: *Work next rnd of Cable patt to next marker, p to next marker; rep from * around.
Note: In the next rnd, increases will only be worked for specific sizes.
If the number for the size you are making is '0', you do not need to increase.
Next Rnd: *Work in Cable patt to next marker, sl marker M1P 0 (1, 1) time(s), p3, M1P 0 (0, 1) time(s), sl marker; rep from * around - 96 (104, 112) sts.

This is not a difficult pattern, although
Is the worst pattern I have ever seen
Lion Brand Co ever put out!
I have ripped it out several times and now have received a email with new changes. I'm so surprised that this awesome co. would allow this!
New change is a mess also even with new corrections!!!
