Lion Brand® Heartland® Thick & Quick®

10 1/2 sts + 14 1/2 rnds = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Eclectic Rib.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

Eclectic Rib worked in rnds (multiple of 4 sts)
Rnd 1:
*K2, p2; rep from * around.
Rnd 2: *P1, k2, p1; rep from * around.
Rep Rnds 1 and 2 for Eclectic Rib.

With circular needle and A, cast on 80 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle and being careful not to twist sts.
Beg with Rnd 1, work in Eclectic Rib working 16 rnds with A, 16 rnds with B and 16 rnds with C.
Bind off.

Weave in ends.

beg = begin(s)(ning) k = knit
p = purl rep = repeat(s)(ing)
rnd(s) = round(s) st(s) = stitch(es)

Three Color Cowl Reviewed by Joan Barga on 2014-09-16 *****
I just finished this awesome piece!! My first attempt at knitting in the round and after some expert advice from your support staff (thank you so much!!) I finally got the concept and was off to knitting this in just a few days!! Very nice pattern, soft yarn - I will give this to a dear friend as a b-day gift. Have ordered colors to do another one for a Xmas gift!!
