Lion Brand« Chenille

GAUGE:

8 sc + 8 rows = 4 in. (10 cm).

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

1. Bolero is worked in one piece beg at lower edge. Piece is divided at underarm and Fronts and Back are worked separately.
2. Back collar is worked directly onto back neck edge. Sides of back collar are sewn to top edges of fronts to complete collar.

Crochet Romantic Bolero Reviewed by Cathy on 2014-03-19 ****
There is an error in the "Left front" pattern instructions. Row 1 should not be an increase row. Row 1 should say "Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across". The increase row should be Row 2. Then the three sc rows should be 3-5, NOT 2-4. Row 6 should be the increase row on one end, NOT Row 5. Then, for Rows 7-14 (not 6-13),you would repeat Rows 3-6 twice more. Row 15 should say "Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Then, you repeat Row 15 until your piece measures the same as Right front.
