SOLID COLOR HEADBAND 1. Cut 12 strands of red yarn, each about 70 in. (178 cm) long. Hold strands together and fold in half. 2. Insert fold through center of hair elastic. Draw ends of strands through loop formed by fold, and pull to tighten. Cut a strand of red yarn about 20 in. (51 cm) long, wrap around strands just below fold and knot. 3. Divide strands into 3 groups of 8 strands each and braid the groups together for 17 in. (43 cm). Fold the strands at end of braid around the hair elastic and hold in place with the binder clip. 4. Cut a strand of red yarn about 20 in. (51 cm) long and wrap tightly around the strands above the clip. Remove clip. Thread yarn ends (3-4 at a time) into blunt needle and draw ends under wrap to hide.

Repeat Step 2 of Solid Color Headband, using a strand of copper for the wrap. 3. Divide strands into 3 groups, with 4 strands of each of the 3 colors in each group, and braid the groups together for 17 in. (43 cm). Fold the strands at end of braid around the hair elastic and hold in place with the binder clip. 4. Repeat Step 4 of Solid Color Headband, using a strand of copper for the wrap.
