HEADBAND Step 1 Apply a small amount of hot glue to one end of Headband and wrap with ribbon, adding small amounts of glue as needed. Repeat on the other end of the Headband.

Step 2 Note: Apply glue and begin and end new strands of yarn on the inside of the Headband. Apply a small amount of glue to one end of Headband and secure one end of desired color of yarn in the glue. Wrap Headband snugly with yarn until the stripe of first color of yarn is as wide as you want. Apply a small amount of glue to Headband to secure the strand of yarn, then trim the end. Secure a strand of your next color yarn in the same glued section.

Step 3 Continue wrapping Headband with the second color until this section is as wide as you want.
As in Step 2, use a small amount of hot glue to secure the yarn before cutting it and use the same hot glue to secure your next color.
Continue this way until the Headband is completely wrapped.

Step 4 Once the Headband is completely wrapped, you're ready to add your pin for a bit of sparkle. I recommend putting your headband on and looking in a mirror to decide exactly where to place your pin. I put mine a little off to the side.
When you know where you want your pin, apply Aleene's Jewel-it glue to the Headband, then let it sit for about 10 minutes.
FINISHING When glue has set, push the pin into the glue. Hold the pin in place for a minute to two, until the glue holds. Set the Headband upright for the glue to dry. |
