One Row Crochet Scarf
Lion Brand® Bellini
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES: Due to the unique nature of this yarn, the techniques for crocheting are specific to this particular yarn. The Scarf is easy to crochet, just be sure to read carefully through the instructions before beginning so that you understand how to work with the yarn.

SCARF Note that Bellini yarn is constructed with a 'ladder' along one edge. The spaces in this ladder edge should be counted as loops. To work with Bellini, insert your hook THROUGH the ladder loops instead of wrapping the yarn around the needle.
Work one row of single crochet along the yarn as follows: 1. The full ball of Bellini is 11 yd (10 m). Unwind about one third of the ball - about 3 1/2 yd (3.5 m), and insert your hook into the next loop (formed by the ladder construction) of yarn. One loop on your hook. 2. The first third of the yarn that you unwound will now count as the foundation chain. The other two-thirds of yarn, still wound into the ball, is your working yarn. 3. Insert your hook into the next loop on your working yarn. You now have 2 loops on your hook. 4. Insert your hook into the next loop of your working yarn, and pull this loop through the 2 loops on your hook. 5. Insert your hook into the next loop of your foundation chain. You now have 2 loops on your hook. 6. Insert your hook into the next loop on your working yarn. You now have 3 loops on your hook. 7. Insert your hook into the next loop on your working yarn, and pull this loop through the 3 loops on your hook. 8. Repeat Steps 5-7 until almost all yarn has been used, or you run out of loops along the foundation chain. 9. Pull the working yarn through the last loop on your hook to fasten off. 10. If you have extra loops on the foundation chain that you did not work into, simply knot that end of the chain, then trim the end.
FINISHING Trim the yarn ends so that they blend into the fabric of the Scarf. |

| One Row Crochet Scarf Reviewed by Maryann Winter on 2013-02-18 |

| I must admit I was disappointed. The model is pictured wearing a scarf that has been wrapped around her neck several times. The actual scarf crochets up in a pretty puny manner. All in all it was way too expensive for the finished product.
