GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) (Insert hook in next st and draw up a loop) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTES:

1. Work in continuous rnds with RS facing at all times. Do not join or turn at end of rnds.
2. Ornaments are worked with 2 strands of yarn held tog. Wind each ball into 2 separate balls before beg.
3. Work tightly so that stuffing will not show through the sts.
4. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st. Carry color not in use across WS of piece.

LARGE ORNAMENT (Ornament A)
The yarns used in this Ornament are green/green (green with green metallic, white/green (white with green metallic), and white (solid white).
With 2 strands of green/green held tog, ch 2.
Rnd 1 (RS): Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd. Move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnds 2 and 3: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 4: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnds 5 and 6: Sc in each sc around.
Beg stuffing piece.
Continue stuffing as work progresses.
Rnd 7: (Sc2tog) 6 times - 6 sc.
Rnd 8: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 9: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/green held tog.
Rnd 10: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 6 times - 18 sc.
Rnd 11: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) 6 times - 24 sc.
Change to 2 strands of green/green held tog.
Rnd 12: Sc in each sc around.
Change to 2 strands of white held tog.
Rnd 13: Sc in each sc around.
Change to 2 strands of green/green held tog.
Rnds 14 and 15: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 16: (Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) 6 times - 18 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white held tog.
Rnd 17: (Sc2tog, sc in next sc) 6 times - 12 sc.
Change to 2 strands of green/green held tog.
Fasten off white.
Rnd 18: (Sc2tog) 6 times - 6 sc.
Rnd 19: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 20: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/green held tog.
Rnd 21: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 6 times - 18 sc.
Change to 2 strands of green/green held tog.
Rnd 22: Sc in each sc around.
Rnds 23 and 24: Repeat Rnds 17 and 18 - 6 sc at the end of Rnd 24.
Rnd 25: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/green held tog.
Rnd 26: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 6 times - 18 sc.
Rnd 27: Sc in each sc around.
Change to 2 strands of green/green held tog.
Fasten off white/green.
Rnd 28: (Sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc) 3 times - 15 sc.
Rnd 29: (Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc) 3 times - 12 sc.
Rnd 30: (Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) 3 times - 9 sc.
Rnd 31: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 32: (Sc2tog, sc in next sc) 3 times - 6 sc.
Rnd 33: (Sc2tog) 3 times - 3 sc.
Fasten off.

SMALLER RED, WHITE AND GREEN ORNAMENT (Ornament B)
The yarns used in this Ornament are white/silver (white with silver metallic), red (solid red), and green (solid green).
With 2 strands of white/silver held tog, ch 2.
Rnds 1-10: Work Rnds 1-10 of Ornament A with 2 strands of white/silver held tog. Beg stuffing piece and continue to stuff piece as work progresses - 18 sc at the end of Rnd 10.
Change to 2 strands of red held tog.
Rnds 11 and 12: Work Rnds 11 and 12 of Ornament A - 24 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/silver held tog.
Fasten off red.
Rnd 13: Sc in each sc around.
Change to 2 strands of green held tog.
Rnd 14: Rep Rnd 13.
Rnd 15: (Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) 6 times - 18 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/silver held tog.
Rnd 16: (Sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc) 3 times - 15 sc.
Change to 2 strands of green held tog.
Rnd 17: (Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc) 3 times - 12 sc.
Change to 2 strands of white/silver held tog.
Fasten off green.
Rnds 18-21: Work Rnds 30-33 of Ornament A - 3 sc at the end of Rnd 21.
Fasten off.

SMALLER RED AND WHITE ORNAMENT
The yarns used in this Ornament are red/red (red with red metallic), white (solid white), white/red (white with red metallic).
Make same as Ornament B, using the following color sequence and holding 2 strands of yarn tog, work Rnds 1-10 with red/red, Rnds 11 and 12 with white, Rnd 13 with red/red, Rnds 14 and 15 with white/red, Rnd 16 with red/red, Rnd 17 with white/red, and Rnds 18-21 with red/red.

FINISHING
Knot a length of yarn to top of Ornament for hanging loop.
Weave in ends.
