Loom Woven Baby Throw

Lion Brand® Baby's First®

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

NOTES:

1. Follow loom manual instructions on WEAVING for how to set up the warp, weave the weft, and remove weaving from the loom.
2. Throw is made from 4 woven squares, sewn together.

Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (4) 12-hole pieces, (4) 6-hole pieces, (4) corner pieces.
Connect pieces to form a large square as follows: 36-hole piece > corner piece > 36-hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece.

Insert 40 small pegs in every hole along each side of assembled loom (do not place pegs in 2 holes at each corner) - 160 working pegs placed. Place a contrast color peg in upper right hand corner for starting slip knot.

SQUARE (make 4)
Use 2 strands of A for the warp and 2 strands of B for the weft. Weave square according to loom manual instructions.

FINISHING
Arrange Squares into 2 strips of 2 Squares each. Using yarn needle provided with loom, sew Squares together. Thread yarn ends into same needle and weave ends into the fabric of the Throw.
