Row 1: Double crochet in 4th chain from hook and each chain across - 6 stitches at the end of this row (don't forget the beginning 3 chain counts as a stitch). Join one strand of B.
Rows 2 and 3: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, chain 3 (counts as a stitch), turn, skip the first double crochet, double crochet in each double crochet across, double crochet in top of the beginning chain 3. Cut B.
Row 4: With 2 strands of A held together, chain 3 (counts as a stitch), turn, skip the first double crochet, double crochet in each double crochet across, double crochet in top of the beginning chain 3.
Join one strand of B.
Rows 5 and 6: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, repeat Row 2. Cut B.
With 2 strands of A only, repeat Row 4 until piece measures about 45 in. (114.5 cm) from beginning.
