Fast Furry Scarf

Lion Brand® Hometown USA® - Fun Fur®

GAUGE:

4 double crochet stitches = about 4 in. (10 cm).
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.

NOTES:

1. Scarf is worked with multiple strands of yarn held together.
2. The chain 3 at the beginning of each row counts as a stitch and should be counted when you are counting your stitches at the end of each row. Take care not to work a double crochet into the first stitch of each row (at the base of the chain 3), this would cause the total number of stitches in a row to increase. Work the last stitch of each row into the top of the beginning chain 3 of the previous row.

SCARF
With 2 strands of A held together, chain 8.
Row 1: Double crochet in 4th chain from hook and each chain across - 6 stitches at the end of this row (don't forget the beginning 3 chain counts as a stitch). Join one strand of B.
Rows 2 and 3: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, chain 3 (counts as a stitch), turn, skip the first double crochet, double crochet in each double crochet across, double crochet in top of the beginning chain 3. Cut B.
Row 4: With 2 strands of A held together, chain 3 (counts as a stitch), turn, skip the first double crochet, double crochet in each double crochet across, double crochet in top of the beginning chain 3.
Join one strand of B.
Rows 5 and 6: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, repeat Row 2. Cut B.
With 2 strands of A only, repeat Row 4 until piece measures about 45 in. (114.5 cm) from beginning.
Join one strand of B.
Next 2 Rows: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, repeat Row 2. Cut B.
Next Row: With 2 strands of A held together, repeat Row 4. Join one strand of B.
Next 2 Rows: With 2 strands of A and one strand of B held together, repeat Row 2. Cut B.
Next Row: With 2 strands of A only, repeat Row 4.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in yarn ends by threading one strand at a time into blunt needle, then weaving the end into the fabric of the Scarf.
