I made an afghan out of this yarn and found it worked well to split the plys of the ends and weave each seperately. Then, instead of weaving around stitches, weave each ply into stitches and sort of knot into iteslf like when going back and forth with a sewing machine to make a secure finish. It had worked well for my afghan this way, but I am only about halfway done with this scarf so I can't speak for that. I like this pattern especially because it can be made in a pinch for a male or female. I can see myself coming back to this pattern again in the future.
