4 Ball Market Bag

Lion Brand® Kitchen Cotton

GAUGE:

10 dc = about 4 in. (10 cm).

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

dc2tog (dc 2 sts together) (Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops) twice. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTES:

1. Beginning with Rnd 2, work all dc’s into the sps between sts instead of into the top of sts.
2. At the end of each rnd, join with a sl st in sp between beg ch and next dc.

4 Ball Market Bag Reviewed by Teri on 2013-06-16 ***
Used cotton yarn with "I" hook -had to do several more rows to get length. Good pattern but do not like the jagged line that shows each row. Will do a continuous circle next time instead of turning each row
