GAUGE:

6 hdc + 4 1/2 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm).

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete the st. 

STRIPE SEQUENCE
Work (4 rows with A, 3 rows with B, 3 rows with A, 1 row with B, 1 row with A) 3 times, 4 rows with A, 3 rows with B, 3 rows with A.

THROW
With A, ch 56.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across - 54 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
Rep Row 2, continuing to change color as in Stripe Sequence, until all 46 rows of the Stripe Sequence have been completed.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
