GAUGE: 2 V-sts = about 3 1/2 in. (9 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: V-stitch (Dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated st or sp. |

AFGHAN
Ch 60.
Row 1: (Dc, ch 2, dc) in 6th ch from hook (V-st made), *sk next 2 ch, V-st in next ch; rep from * across to last 3 ch, sk next 2 ch, dc in last ch - 18 V-sts at the end of this row.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, V-st in ch-2 sp of each V-st across, dc in top of turning ch.
Rep Row 2 until all yarn has been used.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. |

| Good pattern, but it needs one adjustment: only chain 1 in-between dc for v-stitch. Otherwise there are too many stitches and it comes out in more of a trapezoid shape. (I did this with regular red heart yarn, I suppose it could be different for this type) if you want your afghan to be rectangular, only chain 1 in between double crochets for v-stitch and don't chain at all to attach v-stitches. There should be no chain 1 between v-stitches. Other than that, love the pattern, it turns out really nicely!
