Ellie The Elephant Pillow
Lion Brand® Chenille
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Work tightly to ensure that stuffing will not show through the sts.
2. Head and trunk are worked in one piece. First the Head is made, then the trunk is worked as at tube at the lower end of the Head.
3. Head/trunk, Ears and Legs are worked in continuous rnds. Do not join. St markers are placed to mark beg of rnds. Move markers up as you complete each rnd.

Join with slip st in first sc. Do not fasten off. Ch 8 for tail. Fasten off.
Sew Head to body, flattening back of Head and edge of body as you sew to ensure that Head is firmly attached. Fold Ears in half to form semi-circles and sew to Head. Sew Legs to lower edge of body. Weave in ends. |

| I love this pattern! It took me around four weeks, but the end result was great :) I have it to my new baby cousin and my auntie couldn't believe that I made it! She said it looked like something you'd find in a shop worth €25!
