Shaded Triangle Wrap
Lion Brand® Da Vinci
GAUGE: 9 sts = About 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: kfb (knit in front and back) Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st -1 st increased. |
NOTES: 1. Wrap is worked from the point up. 2. A circular needle is used to accommodate the bulky sts. Work back and forth in rows on circular needle as if working on straight needles. 3. Wrap is worked in Garter st (k every row), so there is no real RS or WS. Ties are worked in St st (k on RS, p on WS). Edges of ties will naturally roll slightly to the WS.

WRAP Cast on 3 sts. Row 1: Knit 3. Row 2: Kfb, k to end of row - 4 sts. Rep Row 2 until there are 78 sts. Next Row: K2 and slip these sts to a holder, bind off next 74 sts. 2 sts remain on needle. Do not cut yarn.
FINISHING Tie K1, kfb in next st - 3 sts. Work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) until tie measures about 23 in. (58.5 cm). Next Row: Sl 1, k2 sts together, pass sl st over st just knit. Fasten off. Return the 2 sts on holder back to needle and make a second tie same as the first. With sewing needle and thread, sew a few sts through the Wrap and the base of the tie to reinforce the area. Rep on opposite tie. Weave in ends. |
