Snuggly Ribbed Scarf
Lion Brand® Da Vinci
GAUGE: 11 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Mistake Rib pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: Mistake Rib (multiple of 4 sts + 3)
Row 1: K3, *p1, k3; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: K1, *p1, k3; rep from * across to last 2 sts, p1, k1.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for Mistake Rib.

NOTES: 1. Scarf is worked in Mistake Rib pattern - the 'mistake' is that the sts of the rib shift on alternate rows.
2. The Mistake Rib pattern produces a Scarf that looks good on both sides - there is no right or wrong side!
3. The Mistake Rib pattern is worked over a multiple of 4 sts + 3 extra. If you'd like to make a wider Scarf, you will need to cast on additional sts in multiples of 4. Note: A wider Scarf will require additional yarn.
4. Take the time to study your knitting as you begin each row. After working a few reps of Rows 1 and 2, you should be able to 'read' your work well enough to determine which row you are on.
5. When the instructions say to work until almost all yarn has been used, this means that you should stop when you still have enough yarn to bind off.
6. The 60 in. (152.5 cm) long Scarf in this pattern used 4 balls of yarn. This means that one ball made a length of about 15 in. (38 cm). You can use this information to make a Scarf with more or fewer balls of yarn - for example, 3 balls of yarn would make a Scarf about 45 in. (114.5 cm) long and 5 balls of yarn would make a Scarf about 75 in. (190.5 cm) long.

| Made mime 31 stitches wide, seemed the ends, and made a circular scarf. Extremely fast to knit. Really attractive.
