GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES: 1. Bag is worked in rounds, with RS facing at all times. Do not join at the end of rnds and do not turn. 2. Handle is worked back and forth in rows over a portion of the sts at top of Bag. End of handle is sewn to other side of Bag when handle is complete.

BAG Note: The beginning ch 1 does not count as a st. Ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in 1st ch, do not turn and do not join. Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc in each sc around - 16 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 3: Ch 1, *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around - 24 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 4: Ch 1, *sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around - 30 sc. Rnds 5-10: Sc in each sc around. At the end of Rnd 10, do not fasten off. Handle Note: Handle is worked back and forth in rows. Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in each of next 3 sc; leave remaining sts unworked. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in same 3 sts. Rows 3-16: Rep Row 2. Fasten off.
FINISHING With sewing needle and thread, sew the end of the handle to the other side of the Bag. With sewing needle and thread, sew yarn ends to inside of bag. |

Zpaghetti yarn does not seem to be stiff enough to give firm sides to the tote. It was disappointing to see it collapse and resemble a hat, rather than a tote. Perhaps starch or a plastic insert would do the trick.
I did make the necklaces with the yarn and was quite pleased with the result.
