Happy Dots Baby Cardigan
Lion Brand® Casey
GAUGE: 15 hdc + 11 1/2 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: hdc2tog (hdc 2 sts together) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.
hdc3tog (hdc 3 sts together) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, (yarn over, insert hook into next indicated st and draw up a loop) twice, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook - 2 sts decreased.
sc3tog (sc 3 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. (Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop) twice. Yarn over, draw through all 4 loops on hook - 2 sts decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Cardigan is crocheted in one piece to underarm, then sts are added for sleeves. Work then continues to back neck, where piece is divided for fronts. The fronts are worked separately, from neck to lower front edge.
2. Cardigan is worked in hdc. Sc edging is worked after side and sleeve seams are sewn.

| It's a nice pattern but I had to do some adjustments. I did not do buttons all the way down but only 1 at the very top. I also did the first front twice instead of doing the first and second. It came out nicely though.
