Double-Crochet One-Ball Scarf
Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes®
GAUGE: 16 double crochet = about 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Double-Crochet One-Ball Scarf Reviewed by Janice Eagan on 2012-08-04 |

| I worked this up in Woodlands with a 6mm hook for an elderly gentlemen. Tweed Stripes is a wonderful yarn and this 1 ball scarf worked up in about 1hr and 1/2. The first time I worked it up it was much too short so I ripped it out and chained 18 to add a bit of length. 18chs with a J hook made me a 5" wide by 44" long scarf. I do have a bit of a tight crochet so the length might be all me. The 44" length will be great for my elderly friend but If I was to make this scarf for myself I think I'd go with 20chs and use 2 balls for a super long scarf.
