Little Dipper Hat
Lion Brand® Vanna's Colors - Vanna's Glamour®
GAUGE: 9 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook
into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Hat is worked with 1 strand each of A and B held tog.
2. Hat is worked in continuous rnds from lower edge up to crown (top of Hat). Do not join rnds and do not turn at beg of rnds.
3. If you find it difficult to join the beg ch into a ring without twisting the ch, Rnd 1 can be worked as a row, then joined into a rnd, as follows: Leaving a long beg tail, ch 41, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; join with sl st in first sc - 40 sc at the end of this rnd. Use beg tail to sew gap at base of first row closed. Place marker for beg of rnd. Proceed to Rnd 2.

| With 2 balls of Vanna's Colors and 1 ball of Vanna's Glamour, I was able to work up two hats. I used Vanna's Colors Marina and Vanna's Glamour Lapis and it turned out better than I expected. I'll make many more for friends and possibly a craft show.
