Striped Hat And Scarf
Lion Brand® Vanna's Colors
GAUGE: 12 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF
With A, cast on 24 sts.
Rows 1-4: With A, knit.
Rows 5 and 6: With B, knit.
Rep Rows 1-6 until Scarf measures about 60 in. (152.5 cm) from beg, end with a Row 4. Note: End with a Row 4 means that the last row you work should be a Row 4.
Bind off.
HAT
With A, cast on 58 sts.
Rows 1-4: With A, knit.
Rows 5 and 6: With B, knit.
Rep Rows 1-6 until Hat measures about 10 1/2 in. (26.5 cm) from beg, end with a Row 4. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through rem sts and pull to gather. Knot securely. Use rem tail to sew back seam.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. |

| This is one of the most fun plus easiest projects I've tried from Lion Brand. The scarf is easy and pretty, but the hat is sooo flattering and cute and fits a wide range of sizes.
