Easy Windy Ripple Afghan
Lion Brand® Silky Twist
GAUGE: One ripple (measured from peak to peak) = about 8 1/2 in. (21.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | dc2tog-over-3 (dc 2 together worked over 3 sts) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Skip next st. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook - 2 sts decreased. |
NOTES: 1. This project is worked in a ripple crochet pattern. The ripple pattern is easy to do, but it’s important to remember that you may need to work several rows before the ripple pattern becomes clear.
2. The ripple pattern consists of alternating 3-dc peaks and dc2tog-over-3 valleys. Take care to keep the peaks and valleys of each row aligned. 3 dc are worked into the center dc of peaks and dc2tog-over-3 are worked centered over valleys.
