Rep Row 3 until piece measures 10 1/2 (12 1/2, 13 1/2) in. (26.5 (32, 34.5) cm) from beg.
Divide for Neck and Fronts
First Front
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 26 (28, 31) sts; leave rem sts unworked for back neck and second front - 26 (28, 31) sts at the end of this row.
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 6: Ch 1, turn, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, sc in each st across - 27 (29, 32) sts at the end of this row.
Place marker at beg of this row for neck edge.

Ties
Join yarn with sl st at end of right front neck shaping. Work a ch 10 in. (25.5 cm) long for Tie. Fasten off. Join yarn with sl st at end of left front neck shaping. Work a ch 24 in. (61 cm) long for Tie. Fasten off.
Finishing
Fold piece in half along shoulder. Sew side and sleeve seams, leaving 1/2 in. (1.5 cm) unsewn on right side seam 5 (6 1/2, 7) in. (15 (16.5, 18) cm) up from lower edge for tie opening. Weave in ends. |
