Glitter Triangles Pillow
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Glitter Eyelash
GAUGE: 14 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: kfb (knit into front and then back)
An increase worked as follows:
1. Knit the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle.
2. Knit the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle.
3. Drop the st from your left hand needle - you have increased 1 st.
pfb (purl into front and then back)
An increase worked as follows:
1. Purl the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle.
2. Purl the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle.
3. Drop the st from your left hand needle - you have increased 1 st.

NOTES: 1. Pillow is worked in two pieces: Front and Back.
2. Finished Front and Back pieces may not be perfectly square. Once they are seamed around a pillow form, knitted pieces will stretch into a square shape.

FRONT
With A, cast on 3 sts.
Row 1 (RS): Kfb, k2 - 4 sts at the end of this row.
Row 2: Pfb, p to end of row - 5 sts at the end of this row.
Row 3: Kfb, k to end of row - 6 sts at the end of this row.
Rep last 2 rows until piece measures 9 in. (23 cm) from beginning, end with a WS row. Note: End with a WS row means that the last row you work should be a WS row, and the next row that you are ready to work will be a RS row.
Change to B.
Next Row (RS): K2tog, k to end of row.
Next Row: P2tog, p to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until 3 sts remain.
Bind off.
BACK
Work same as Front.
FINISHING
Hold Front and Back with WS together, and seam along three sides. Insert pillow form and seam remaining side. Weave in ends. |
