Crocheted Truck
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Roving Wool
GAUGE: 11 sc = 4 in. (10 cm)
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.
NOTES: 1. Crochet pieces are assembled over foam blocks cut to size to make Truck.
2. Use a sewing needle and thread to sew pieces together.
3. Large Squares, Rectangles, and Small Squares are worked back and forth in rows.
4. Wheels are worked in continuous rounds.

LARGE SQUARES (make 5)
With A, ch 11.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 10 sc.
Rows 2-10: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Do not fasten off.
Edging
Work 1 rnd sc evenly spaced around entire outside edge of Large Square, working 2 sc in each corner.
Fasten off, leaving a 20 in. (51 cm) yarn tail.
RECTANGLES (make 4)
With A, ch 11.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 10 sc.
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Do not fasten off.
Edging
Work 1 rnd sc evenly spaced around entire outside edge of Rectangles, working 2 sc in each corner.
Fasten off, leaving a 20 in. (51 cm) yarn tail.
SMALL SQUARES (make 2)
With A, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 5 sc.
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Do not fasten off.
Edging
Work 1 rnd sc evenly spaced around entire outside edge of Small Squares, working 2 sc in each corner.
Fasten off, leaving a 20 in. (51 cm) yarn tail.
WHEELS (make 4)
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Change to C.
Rnd 2: With C, work 2 sc in each st around - 12 sc.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around - 18 sc.
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around.
Stuff piece lightly.
Rnd 5: *Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook; rep from * around. Fasten off, leaving a 20 in. (51 cm) yarn tail.
FINISHING
With yarn tails, whip st 5 Large Squares together along edges around larger foam block for back of Truck, leaving one side of foam block uncovered. With yarn tails, whip st 3 Rectangles and 2 Small Squares together along edges around smaller foam block for front of Truck, leaving one long side of foam block uncovered. With sewing needle and thread, and uncovered foam sections together, sew front of Truck to back of Truck. With yarn tail, whip st remaining Rectangle to Truck, covering foam above front of Truck. With sewing needle and thread, sew Wheels to Truck. Weave in ends. |

| I didn't use the foam blocks, just the stuffing so mine looks a little bit more like a car. But I put eyes and a mouth on it and my 3 year old LOVES it.
