SCARF
With 3 strands of yarn held together, c Cast on 6 stitches.
Work in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side), always using 3 strands of yarn held together, until about 1 yd (1 m) of each of the 3 strands yarn remains. Bind off.

I knitted this scarf and it was definitely NOT long enough to wear as shown. I wound up ripping the whole thing, then knitting two strands together and using the third skein at both ends, attaching it to the two skeins and continued to knit. It still was not very long.

I have to agree that it was way too expensive for the finished product
