Stadium Throw

Lion Brand® Hometown USA®

GAUGE:

5 hdc + 4 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Fasten off old color.

THROW
With A, ch 48.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across - 46 hdc at the end of this row.
Rows 2-4: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Change to B at end of Row 4.
Rows 5-8: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Change to C at end of Row 8.
Rows 9-12: With C, ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Change to D at end of Row 12.
Rows 13-16: With D, ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Change to A at end of Row 16.
Rows 17-20: With A, ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Change to B at end of Row 20.
Rows 21-36: Rep Rows 5-20.
Rows 37-48: Rep Rows 5-16. Do not change color at end of Row 48.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I made 4 of these at Christmas for gifts. They were so simple and so pretty and soft. My family members loved them. I asked each of them for their 4 favorite colors, so each one was made in different colors. I added fringe I liked it better with fringe.
