GAUGE:
6 scallops = about 5 in. (12.5 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FINISHING
Edging
With right side facing, pin Hood over one corner of Blanket, matching edges. Join yarn with sl st to one corner of Blanket. Round 1: Ch 2, 2 dc in same corner, work (sc, 2 dc) evenly spaced around entire outside edge of Blankie, working through both thicknesses when working over Hood at corner. Notes: For best results, take care to work (sc, 2 dc) in each corner of Blankie.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
