Loom Woven Checked Eyeglass Case

Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Merino

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

NOTES:

1. Warp is set up along the 11 small pegs placed along short sides of assembled loom.
2. Weft is woven across the 41 small pegs placed along long sides of assembled loom.

Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (2) 6-hole pieces, (4) corner pieces.

Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 36-hole piece > corner piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > 36-hole piece > corner piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece.

Insert 41 small pegs into each long side and 11 small pegs into each short side of assembled loom - 104 working pegs placed.

Insert one contrast color small peg in upper right hand corner for starting slip knot.

CASE
Note:
Follow loom manual instructions on WEAVING for how to set up the warp, weave the weft, and remove weaving from the loom. Use 2 strands of A for the warp and 2 strands of B for the weft.

FINISHING
Fold piece in half to make Case.
Thread yarn needle provided with loom with B and whip stitch long sides of Case together.
With the same needle, thread yarn ends through and weave ends into the fabric of the Case.

Loom Woven Checked Eyeglass Case Reviewed by Jaime Lavergne on 2012-05-27 *****
I loved how quick this project was! I finished it in one and a half hours. Great for last minute gifts. I braided three strands of yarn together and threaded it through the top to make a tie closure. Great pattern!
