Mitered Squares Baby Throw
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Cotton Hemp
GAUGE: 1 Square = 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. (14 x 14 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | Adjustable ring method: Wrap yarn around index finger. Insert hook into ring on finger, yarn over and draw up a loop, then ch 1. Carefully slip ring from finger and work stitches of first rnd into ring. When first rnd is complete gently, but firmly, pull tail to tighten center of ring

| I made this pattern for my 7 year old niece. Obviously it is too small, so I made it 4 times as big and it turned out perfect. This was my first blanket that I ever crocheted and I found it very easy. I did not use the cotton yarn, I used worsted weight. I also added an edging around it. I am currently working on another one using this pattern, but actually for a baby.
