Crochet Lace Cowl
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Merino
GAUGE: 2 1/2 pattern reps = about 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Cowl is worked in joined rnds, with RS always facing. At the end of each rnd, join last st to first st with a sl st. Do not turn.
2. If you find it difficult to join the beg ch into a ring without twisting the ch, Rnd 1 can be worked as a row, then joined into a rnd, as follows: Leaving a long beg tail, ch 97, sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, sk next 2 ch, (dc, ch 1, tr, ch 1, dc) in next ch, ch 1, sk next 2 ch, *sc in next ch, ch 1, sk next 2 ch, (dc, ch 1, tr, ch 1, dc) in next ch, ch 1, sk next 2 ch; rep from * to end of row; join with sl st in first sc—16 pattern reps at the end of this rnd. Use beg tail to sew gap at base of first row closed. Proceed to Rnd 2.

| Made this using a chenille yarn and it drapes beautifully. Pattern takes a bit of concentration at start of each row but fine once you get started.
