Diagonal Eyelet Baby Blanket
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Merino
GAUGE: 17 sts + 22 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles.
2. Blanket is worked in one piece from corner to corner in alternating Garter and Lace Panels.
3. The first half of Blanket is shaped by increasing one st at the beg of every row; second half decreases one st at the beg of every row.
4. Each Garter Panel ends with a WS row; each Lace Panel begins with a RS row.

| Diagonal Eyelet Baby Blanket Reviewed by chanda on 2012-05-12 |

| I made this little gem in cotton. I live in the deep south and cotton breathes well in the humid summer when newborns still need a little cover. The patten of garter stitch and eyelets is just as striking in person as it is in the picture. I've decided to make several to donate to the pregnancy crisis center in our area. Thanks!
