GAUGE: 11 sc = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Fasten off old color.

With A, ch 168.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (beginning ch counts as first dc), dc in each ch across - 166 dc at the end of this row.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc in this row and in all following dc rows), turn, dc in each dc across; change to B in last st.
Rows 3 and 4: With B, ch 1, turn, sc in each st across; change to A in last st of Row 4.
Row 5: With A, ch 3, turn, dc in each sc across.
Rows 6-13: Repeat Rows 2-5 two times.
Row 14: With A, ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
