GAUGE: About 4 single crochet stitches = 4 in. (10 cm).
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

CUFF (make 2)
Chain 8, join with slip stitch in first chain to form a ring.
Round 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across, join with slip stitch in top of first single crochet.
Round 2: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch across, join with slip stitch in top of first single crochet.
Rounds 3-6: Repeat Round 2.
Round 7: Chain 2, skip first 2 stitches, single crochet in each of next 6 stitches, join with slip stitch in top of first chain.
Round 8: Chain 1, 2 single crochet into chain-2 space, single crochet in each of next 6 stitches, join with slip stitch in top of first chain.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
